Automating Discovery and Service Mapping for a Payment Service
After a successful proof of concept, we automated data center discovery end to end and built the first service map for a key payment service.
A gaming technology company wanted automated discovery and service mapping for a key payment service. Noisy discovery data, an over-populated CMDB, mapping limitations and gaps in product best practice stood in the way.
We ran a proof of concept, then moved to fully automated IT data center discovery and an initial service map for the payment service. Where the product fell short, we worked with ServiceNow R&D to improve its out-of-the-box capabilities.
Data center discovery runs fully automated, a key business service has its first service map, and the product limitations we hit were addressed together with ServiceNow R&D.
